Opioid Stewardship: How is HSS Improving Prescribing?
He amputated my leg and now life is so much easier
I would love to know how my friend Deirdre O’Leary is these days. She is the Sister of Dr O’Leary. We lost touch about 15 years ago. News would be appreciated. Thank you
What type of hip replacement did you get? What vertebrae was out of alignment? I’m looking to have back surgery bc I mentally just can’t live in pain anymore. Riding doesn’t hurt, but everything else involved with caring for horses and myself does.
Agora por eles coloca cola se eles se cola por eles mesmo próprio
Knee feels great. 6/18/2024 But leg muscles still need more exercise. My fault as I favored knee too much, so knee is great but leg muscles are in need of more exercise. My sister had knee surgery in Atlanta, Ga. But they sent her home the day of surgery. She fell and broke her ankle & knee. She died a few weeks later after care for her injuries. I never thought @ 82 & poor health that she was a candidate for knee surgery.
I would like to get checked out there but many of their surgeons do not take Medicare, had an intertrochanteric fracture 4 years ago, they pinned my hip and I have problems with the device and very little motion possibility, used to be a ballet dancer and would like to exercise and stretch more.. 🙏.. Am a senior.. 🙏🙏.. Would love to know whether something can be done, have pain as well... 🙏🙏
"That was a nerve bundle in your deltoid. Might not have hurt, but you won't be using that arm for a while," Quoted by Batman
So, so many small variations of after surgery treatment . This support husband may be over his capabilities , thank god for strong wife ,amen.😂
is there anyone in arkansas who's getting this or has it done? I'd appreciate any input
Love PROMS
is this good for severe rsi in hand tendon and pinky knuckle ?
This is my right knee at the age off 44 and doctors keep saying I’m to young … i’m in pain and I don’t like the deformity 😢
I need it done on both of my legs. Hopefully they will do them one right after another
I had a meeting with a surgeon for the firat time a couple of weeks ago and I'm still waiting for a referral to a more skilled surgeon near me but when the doctor told me what needed to happen I started to tear up simply because this has been effecting me for over 2/3 of my life, it's effected my ability to get in shape, wear most "in style" clothing etc... and obviously it's PAINFUL as hell. And I didn't realize just how much it hurt me mentally until he told me we can fix it and all the thoughts of how much better my life could be started flooding in
Am always shy to wear trousers or short skirt because my mates and neighbors call me names. I pray i get the money to undergo this surgery. Hmm it's not easy
neuromusculoskeletal management. hail the lord!
I know the HSS is a great Hospital, that is the reason I have my Knee replacement but unfortunate after visiting the doctor in different occasion i Still have pain and problems with the movement, in the beginning after my surgery and therapy i was doing well following all the Doctor orders, but I don't know what to do..
Michael and Jose make me feel better about people in general as does the work of all the people at the Hospital for Special Surgery and everyone who makes what they do possible. The people in the patient pick up area, the nurses, everyone there, left me feeling grateful my father was cared for where he was. Thank you
I’ve had this my whole life, I’m 57. I got made fun of as a child ( and as an adult ) I remember dating a boy when I was 16 & his mother asked me what was wrong with me. She actually said to me “ when I saw you walk up the driveway I thought omg Jack is dating a cripple “ I remember the pain of those words, the humiliation and how hard I tried not to cry. I wish my parents would have gotten it fixed when I was young. Every time I walk away from someone I try to distract my walking zigzag or trying to get the attention away from anybody watching me. I’ve never worn a dress that wasn’t long. I’ve never worn shorts. I can’t wear leggings either. I live in wide leg yoga pants. I wish this Dr was in Canada.
I have done surgery for both legs together last month I'm feeling k , hoping for the best recovery for x shaped deformity
No matter how bow my legs get from osteo arthirits I will.continue to wear my unloader knee brace I will never get knee replacement done iam.strong and I will brat this. Knee replacenmt will never be an option for me. Yes my arthiritis is getting worse but knee replacemt isn't always a success. My unloader brace has got me through many walks
Update?
I had knock knee and i got surgery done ( currently recovring) the surgery was a breeze and i was on epidural after surgery so there was absolutely no pain at all and the recovery is going smooth too if anyone of you are considering it go for it , knock cause walking troubles the more you delay it and even pain so go for it and all the very best 💖💖💖
Congratulations . Both knees at the same time? If you only got one done is one leg longer than the other?
@lanesh7245 I had gotten the other leg done previously and no one leg is not longer then other they are both the same
I thank God, that my surgery was successful I feel happy with my life, God bless all the surgeons in this world and give them more knowledge to discover more technical support.
How much is costs cause I have the same problem and it sucks my life.
@@ladyg719 if you live in the UK 🇬🇧 NHS will cover all the prices you don't need to pay anything, just ask your GP to refer you To the orthopaedic.
Please which country and how much does it cost?

I have Inclusive Body Myopathy
Thank you for this. I belong to a gym but I mostly do small machines. I’m too intimidated by the squat machine cause I don’t have a workout partner. Do you think this will be a good replacement?

Anyone having hip labral tear problem in the UK. Still waiting for an appointment . How did yours go thorugh NHS? Thanks
How much cost for both knock knee
Go on
recovering right now from this surgery lmao
Good job nice explanation
I've been to way too many hospitals. Mt. Sinai (always horrendous), NYU, Cornell, Columbia, Lenox Hill, Beth Israel, etc. There are only two that I can consider truly exceptional - Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, and HSS here in NYC. Spectacular patient care, great doctors, an aura of caring that goes far. I've had two surgeries at HSS, and both have been successful. What could be better?
Dr. Danyal Nawabi at 3:55 states that the hip labrum "has a good blood supply." But a "good blood supply" suggests that the hip labrum also has a potential to heal on its own. So hip pain resulting from labral tearing could become asymptomatic if given enough time to allow for healing, and if the patient ceases the activity that caused the tear. Would have appreciated some discussion on this point regarding labrum's blood supply and healing potential.
Pretty sure that once torn there is a gap in the tear so it can’t heal fully.
👍👍
So I'm going in for osseointegration. Normally when I fall down my fake knee hits thr ground hard. And my socket don't hurt at all . My question is how bad does it hurt if you fall cause your knee gets caught on a bush or grass or something????
